Important Airline Flight Information
Responsibilities of Client
When Anderson Travel and Tours books airline tickets for an individual or group, the client(s) will receive a flight confirmation number from Anderson Travel and Tours. If no seats are automatically assigned during the booking process, the client is then responsible for contacting the airline through the airline’s website or via phone to choose specific seats or make any additional changes to the flight(s). The client is then responsible for keeping up with those changes.
Once a client receives a confirmation number from Anderson Travel and Tours, the client should immediately contact the airline to reserve specific seats or make changes, as the seating assignments fill quickly. If the client makes changes to the flight(s), after receiving the confirmation number from Anderson Travel and Tours, they must notify Anderson Travel and Tours of those changes. If changes made by the client adversely affect the timing of the overall booked trip and Anderson Travel and Tours is not aware changes were made by the client, Anderson Travel and Tours is not responsible for any loss of money, time, etc. regarding the trip and no refunds or provisions will be made.
Changes Made by Airline or Client (including seat assignments)
Airlines have the right to change times, the number of connecting flights, flight numbers, plane types, gate numbers, etc. If major changes are made to flights directly by the airline, Anderson Travel and Tours will be notified by the airline and will contact the client. However, seat assignments are not considered major changes and Anderson Travel and Tours will not be notified if changes are made. If a client makes changes to their flight, the airline will not notify Anderson Travel and Tours, so the client is responsible for notifying Anderson Travel and Tours.
Review Flight Often Prior to Flight
The client is responsible for reviewing their flight plan periodically before the departure date to verify accuracy. Anderson Travel and Tours should be notified by the client immediately if the client finds errors or unplanned changes made by the airline (or client) which are incorrect or that may affect the outcome of the trip in order for corrections to be made in time. If errors are found by the client after the date that changes can be made, Anderson Travel and Tours will not be responsible.
Cruise/Flight Packages
Please note that flights booked through cruise/flight packages will not be assigned by the cruise line until 30 days prior to the cruise departure date. Dates will be set by the cruise line and will not change, however the specific airline, flight times, plane numbers, gate numbers, etc.can be changed by the cruise line up to 72 hours prior to travel. It is the responsibility of the client to reconfirm flight itineraries, ticket information and check-in times directly with the airline. Cruise lines do not guarantee that guests traveling with other guests will be on the same airline or routing.
Changes After Tickets Are Issued
Changes to name, date, flight, or city after your airline tickets have been issued will require a replacement ticket and may be subject to cancellation penalties and/or a non-refundable service fee.
Luggage for Flights
Anderson Travel and Tours strongly recommends that that you contact your assigned airline(s) to obtain their luggage allowance policy for the maximum number, size and weight of bags that each guest is allowed at no charge. Clients are responsible for luggage fees, excess baggage charges or other charges imposed by airlines or airports.
Identification / Passports
U.S. Security procedures require all guests 18 years of age and older to present a photo identification card upon airport check-in. Guests without proper identification will be denied boarding by the airline. For international travel, a passport is required for all guests.
